HeadingMap displays the heading structure of the page you are viewing and flags problems in that outline. This policy explains what it does and does not do with your data.
None. HeadingMap does not collect, store on our servers, or transmit any personal or usage data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. The extension has no server component and makes no network requests.
HeadingMap requests two Chrome permissions: activeTab and scripting. Both apply only to the tab you are actively viewing, and only from the moment you click the extension icon. It declares no host permissions, so it has no standing access to any website, it runs no background process, and it leaves no content script running on your pages.
When you open the popup, HeadingMap reads the heading elements of the current page — their level, text, class and id, and whether they are visually hidden — entirely inside your browser. The result is shown in the popup and discarded when you close it. Nothing is recorded, logged, or sent anywhere. If you copy or download an outline, that file is produced locally by your own browser.
We do not share, sell, or transfer any data to third parties, because we do not collect any data. The extension contains no third-party scripts, SDKs, trackers, or remotely loaded code — all of its code ships inside the extension package.
